The flora of the Park
Nature has really indulged its fancy in the Park, decorating it with a rich and luxutious flora.
The Brescian Upper Garda Park represents a complex ecosystem with different and various environments.
You go from the Mediterranean climate on the coast of the Lake, to the alpine environment in the hinterland, where you can find high peaks (Denervo, Pizzocolo and Carone) and deep valleys (the valley of San Michele in Tremosine, or the Valvestino). On the coast, the vegetation is typically Mediterannean, with oleanders, olive-trees and citrus fruits; in the mountains you can find larches, pines, rhododendrons and heather. The presence of endemic flowers is also very important.
